[#KCON17LA] Get to Know Girl’s Day!

#KCON17LA is only 41 days away! In preparation for the big day, get familiar with all of the incredible lineup. Let’s start with Girl’s Day, the four-member Dream Tea Entertainment girl group that debuted in 2010. This will be their first time at KCON, and their fans are looking forward to seeing the girls behind hits like “Something,” “Expectation,” and “Female President.”

Sojin (Park Sojin)

Birthday: 1986.05.21
Birthplace: Daegu, South Korea
Blood Type: AB
Language: Korean

Sojin is the leader and lead vocal of Girl’s Day. She is not only a talented singer, as shown by her stunning performance on singing program “King of Mask Singer,” but also a skilled songwriter, writing the Girl’s Day songs “Girl’s Day World” and “Let’s Go.” DAI5Y’s know her as a lively and devoted leader who, despite being the oldest member, often acts like the maknae.

Fun Fact!: Prior to her debut, Sojin majored in mechanical engineering at Yeongnam University. She was one of only eight girls out of the 800 students in her engineering class.

Yura (Kim Ah Young)

Birthday: 1992.11.06
Birthplace: Ulsan, South Korea
Blood Type: O
Language: Korean

With a cheerful attitude and impeccable dance skills, Yura is the group’s lead dancer. In addition to her acting projects like “After the Show Ends” and “Be Arrogant,” Yura appeared on “We Got Married” with actor Hong Jong Hyun and MC’s for various shows, like “Life Bar” and “Beauty Bible.”

Fun Fact!: Yura has 500,000,000 won (approximately 500,000 USD) insurance for her legs, per her agency’s boss’s suggestion.

Minah (Bang Minah)

Birthday: 1993.05.13
Birthplace: Seoul, South Korea
Blood Type: O
Language: Korean

The group’s main vocal, Minah, is famous for her powerful voice and bright eye smile. She is also an active actress, with the lead role in the television drama “Beautiful Gong Shim” alongside Nam Goongmin. Minah had her solo debut in 2015 with the mini-album “I Am a Woman Too.”

Fun Fact!: Minah has an older sister, Linah, who is a member of the group WANNA.B.

Hyeri (Lee Hyeri)

Birthday: 1994.06.09
Birthplace: Gwangju, South Korea
Blood Type: AB
Language: Korean

As the maknae of the group, Hyeri has a kind and sensitive personality, and never fails to wow with her dancing and acting skills. Hyeri stole hearts with her lead role as Sung Duk-seon in the hit drama “Reply 1988” and went on to star in the show “Entertainer.”

Fun Fact!: Hyeri is unexpectedly strong, and was even able to lift Jung Hyung Don of the variety show “Weekly Idol” up with ease.
